Im currently considering changing to Post Office BB and Homephone
extra as it will save me the BT line rental and I could do with the 10
quid per month in my pocket

Anyone have any comments about Post Office BB?

I've checked out the ADSL Guide but apart from startup problems there
is little there about Post Office

I switched to them about a month ago, no problems at all, UK based tech
support (so you get a Geordie accent instead of an Asian one Smile ) helpful
staff, and it's worked as promised from the day it was supposed to. Nice
netgear router provided too.

I can't fault them so far.

regards

Mike

Except that when I have Post Office phone they introduced a minimum call
charge, and hugely bumped up nearly all the international call charges, some
(like the Netherlands) by 400%.

So check their bills carefully!

I have had PO phone for 4 months now problem free, bill a lot cheaper than
BT ones, about 2/3 rd cheaper.
Do not make international calls as a rule.
BT wanted a 12 month contract if I changed package, PO is one month. Was
not going to be tied in with BT for 12 month, so many options might not
choose best one at first attempt, so went PO simple price package which
suits me.

CS of PO helpful and in UK, BT in India hard to have conversation wiling to
let a 50 year customer go rather than wave the 12 month contract.

Next month my present ISP reaches the 12 month period since I last upgraded
with him, will be looking at what the PO as to offer me.

Experience from my end is that they seem to have problems getting the names
& adresses correct. Had a couple this week, everything was wrong so what
can one do, wrong house, wrong person, wrong telephone number. Thank you,
that's another abortive visit charge...
